Why is Squash omitted from the Olympic Games?

For almost a decade, the sport of Squash has bid to become a part of the Olympics. A regular in the Commonwealth Games, Squash has bid on a number of occasions to the join the Olympic programme, but has failed each time. Therefore, Why is Squash omitted from the Olympic Games?

Having studied and passed a Master’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism at the University of Salford, MediaCityUK, I chose to complete my television based major project on Olympic related stories.
